Los Angeles Mural: A Celebration of Diversity

World renowned artist, Robert Vargas is currently painting the world’s largest mural painted by a single artist.  He is well aware of our ancestry and is using a portrait of a young Tongva girl as his focal point for his mural.  His painting will be about the city of Los Angeles from its beginning (Tongva girl) and throughout the years.  His building side mural can be seen on the corner of 5th St. & Hill St. in downtown LA, across the street from Pershing Square.

If you are in the area, please stop by his painting and introduce yourself to him and let him know you are part of the Gabrielino-Tongva family.  He is generally painting Monday-Saturday from 8am-4pm.  He will have a big unveiling celebration in the coming weeks/months and all are invited.  There will be some big name guests in attendance.
